Entry 135: Brands. More than that ..

I thought of how materialistic women are.
Or even some men too.

Specifically targetting at my gender.
How many girls or those who bother to look better socially and physically
had branded stuff jotted down in their wish list.

Do they honestly want sheer happiness if they stated that as one of the wishes?
Or maybe materials and a "good" boyfriend who could provide them these are all they really want?

I don't deny the fact that certain designer goods are pretty.
But to some extent, we don't live by them.
I have a "$10 bugis spokesperson" classmate.
She could wear the fashion out of cheap stuff, bring the beauty to the clothes she bought.
Why not you people?
Branded goods can be as "cheap-looking"
If you get what I mean.

Some shirts might even look like those 3 for $10 yet costing a price of over $50.
Just because of the name it's printed.

We've been blinded by the trend that branded means beauty, social acceptance, and status difference.
Too shallow, we are.

Think about yourself ..
Are you one of those who lead such a shallow and ugly life?
(:

No offence ^^v

  1. I agree with your post but I think it's more relevent to people who cannot afford branded goods yet they still want to get their hands on them by hook or by crook. I can't stand them. That's really called " shallow and ugly life." They feel so insecure without branded goods. They need extra attention.
But with people who can afford it, I think it's ok since they enjoy this kinda material pleasure.
Sad to say.. our world is really revolving around branded good = social status. Can't change the fact! It's just a human desire. If we can't afford it, we just look at the brighter side of " they're just being materialistic ( cause they lay their hands on branded goods)". If we can afford it, it's another ball game.
