Entry 333: WWCWYD's inspirational phrases..

The tragedy of life is not death, but what we let die inside of us while we live.
                                                                                                  - Norman Cousins

Be the change that you wish to see most in your world.
                                                           - Mahatma Gandhi

Everyone who enters your life has a lesson to teach and a story to tell.

Every person you pass during the moments that make up your days represents an opportunity to show a little more of the compassion and courtesy that define your humanity.

Kindness, quite simply, is the rent we must pay for the space we occupy on this planet.

The successful person has the habit of doing the things failures don't like to do.
                                                                                                                - E. M. Gray

Life's greatest setback reveals life's biggest opportunities.

There is in the worst of fortune, the best chances for a happy change.
                                                                                                - Euripides

If you have failed more than others, there is a very good chance you are living more completely than others.

It is better by noble boldness to run the risk of being subject to half of the evils we anticipate than to remain in cowardly listlessness for fear of what may happen.
                                                                                                                                                       - Herodotus

Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles he has overcome while trying to succeed.
                                                                                                                                          - Booker T. Washington

Learning to say no to the non-essentials will give you more time to devote to the things that have the power to truly improve the way you live and help you leave the legacy you know in your heart you are destined to leave.

The words that enlighten the soul are more precious than jewels.
                                                                           - Hazrat Inayat Khan

Children come to us more highly evolved than adults to teach us the lessons we need to learn.

What we focus on will determine our destiny, so we must start focusing on the good stuff.

Leo Rosten observed:
You can understand and relate to most people better if you look at them - no matter how impressive they may be - as if they are children. For most of us never really grow up or mature all that much - we simply grow taller. Oh, to be sure, we laugh less and play less and wear uncomfortable disguises like adults, but beneath the costume is the child we always are, whose needs are simple, whose daily life is still best described by fairy tales.

To reconnect with who you really are as a person and to come to know the glory that rests within you, you must find the time to be silent on a regular basis.

Life change takes time, effort, and patience. But the results you will receive make the initial stress you experience more than worth it.

You would not have the wisdom and knowledge you now possess were it not for the setbacks you have faced, the mistakes you have made, and the suffering you have endured. Once and for all, come to realize that pain is a teacher and failure is a highway to success.

Our character is shaped, not through life's easiest experiences, but during life's toughest ones.

It is during life's most trying times that we discover who we really are and the fullness of the strength that lies within us.

We don't laugh because we are happy. We are happy because we laugh.
                                                                                          - William James

On you deathbed, in the twilight of your life, it will not be all the risks you took that you will regret most. Rather, what will fill your heart with the greatest amount of regret and sadness will be all thos risks that you did not take, fears you did not face.

On the other side of fear lies freedom.

Life is nothing more than a game of numbers -  the more risks you take, the more rewards you will receive.

The real secret to a life of abundance is to stop spending your days searching for security and to start spending your time pursuing opporunity.

Failure is nothing more than learning how to win.

We all travel different roads to our ultimate destinations. For some of us, the path is rockier than for others. But no one reaches the end without facing some form of adversity.

Detach yourself from the outcomes and simply experience every circumstance that enters you life to the fullest. Feel the pain and savour the happiness.

There are no real failures in life, only results. There are no true tragedies, only lessons. And there really are no problems, only opportunities waiting to be recognized as solutions by the person of wisdom.

Living is a gift and we must make the best of it, every day of our lives.

Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.
                                                          - Waldo Emerson

The hand that gives is the hand that gathers.
